KABU-Ride launching ride-hailing services in Victoria Services to begin on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, Oct. 10

Victoria, B.C.—Richmond-based KABU-Ride Inc. will be launching its Canadian ride-hailing services on Thanksgiving Day, Oct. 10, giving Victoria area residents and visitors one more safe and reliable option for travelling around town.

“We’re excited to finally launch in Victoria, after the Covid-19 pandemic unfortunately stopped our efforts in its tracks in March of 2020,” said KABU-Ride Inc. CEO Austin Zhang. “Our driving partners are eager to provide those in the Greater Victoria Area with affordable transportation services.”

Doing business as KABU, KABU’s rider App is available at the App Store for iPhone users, or Google Play, for Android users. To access KABU’s services, customers need to download the KABU App, and then complete the registration process.

KABU offers multiple service levels, from KABU Pure, which is the most affordable option, to KABU Plus, for more spacious minivans and SUVs that can carry up to 6 passengers. KABU Delivery services will be rolled out in the near future, and will enable customers to use minivans or pick-up trucks to transport large items such as building supplies or furniture.

KABU was founded in 2016, and became the first ride-hailing App to be authorized by the Passenger Transportation Board to serve all five regions of British Columbia in February of 2020. KABU has completed more than 2 million trips for more than 200,000 customers, and is fully insured and licensed. KABU’s drivers are vetted, trained and monitored, must pass a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check, and each has a Class 1, Class 2 or Class 4 commercial licence.

KABU is currently seeking drivers with a commercial driver’s licence and a vehicle that’s less than 10 years old, who want to use their own vehicles to make a livable wage. KABU is also hiring full-time and part-time drivers to drive a KABU vehicle. For more information, visit, or email
